Your Brain on Yoga

May 6-7

15Hrs Yoga Alliance CEUs

The Nervous System & Yoga Asana

The brain is the control station of the body, controlling all mental and physical processes. In this workshop, you’ll learn how the brain sends and receives messages to and from the body. Understanding these interactions, and how the movements and poses of yoga asana relate to them, helps you understand yoga’s deeper effects on long-term health and preventative wellness. Exercise, proper diet, and positive attitude all benefit body and mind. Another part of wellness is happiness. Yoga is a unique art and science that can help both health and happiness.

Yoga for Stressful Times

This is a series of practice in this difficult political climate – small classes to support us with community, connections and yoga asana. Classes are a combination of active and passive poses, along with time for relaxation and meditation. The combination of breath, movement and mindful attention will provide a way to cope with difficult situations.

Anxiety, Depression and Grief are discussed, and how to integrate yoga  as a tool to help. These tools can become lifesavers of self care and survival.
